Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

Sunday to Monday | Who Do You Think Jesus is?

Pastor Dave opened worship yesterday with Psalm 124…God has not abandoned us. He taught from Matthew 16:13-20 that Jesus started the church at the gates of hell. When we go there and join Jesus in his mercy to change me, we and the world, we help to emancipate all of God’s people. If you missed being with us, you can watch here. Last week we hung out with Terry Hershey at The Well and shopped for school supplies. Check out photos by clicking on the links below:

We take our faith into the week. Thought starters for conversations and personal reflections:

  • Why did Jesus ask “Who do the people think I am? Who do you think I am?” (Matthew 16:13,15) Who do YOU say Jesus is?
  • Jesus calls us to interact with the gates of hell. Where do see see the gates of hell? Will you go there?
  • The Bible is about emancipation for all God’s people. How do you engage emancipation through forgiveness, generosity and compassion?
