Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

Sunday to Monday | Lord Have Mercy

We had a great story to consider yesterday in worship in Mark 10:46-52, the healing of Bartimaeus, a blind man. If you missed being with us, you can watch here or see a few photos here. And check out these photos from the Extreme Community Makeover workday on Saturday here. Tomorrow is the last day to provide names for the All Saints Remembrance Sunday, you can do that here.

We take our faith into all the days of our week:

  • What are your favorite stories? Stories from your own life and stories of others’.
  • Spend time with the story of Jesus and Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52. What does Jesus do? What does Bartimaeus do? Where do you find yourself in the story?
  • What do you need to throw off to get closer to Jesus?
  • Do you ask for Jesus’ mercy? Why or why not? How would asking for Jesus’ mercy change your prayers?
  • Jesus invites us to participate in our healing. How would you answer Jesus’ question: What do you want me to do for you?
  • What relationships do you have that need to be restored? How might you ask Jesus to help you “see”?
