It’s the beginning of a new church year, it’s the season of Advent: the four weeks before Christmas. We lit the 1st candle on the Advent wreath, the candle of hope. Pastor Dave taught on Jeremiah 33:14-16: “Better days are coming.” Waiting is hard but we have hope that God is out preparing the way so that things will turn out okay.
If you missed worship you can watch here.
It’s time to prepare for the annual Open Door Christmas Party! We are joining Rev Kelly in serving 150 families from Wyatt Academy in Denver. You can bake cookies, give for Walmart gift cards, help assemble/prep or serve at the drive-through party. Go here for all the details and to sign up.
We take God’s Word into our week.
- What are you waiting for? How are the words of Jeremiah 33:14-16 helpful?
- God helps us grow and learn (Jeremiah 1:4-7) so that we can do our part in the kingdom. What do you need to learn? Where do you need to grow?
- Luke 21:25-28 reminds us that when bad things happen, we can raise our heads because our redemption is near.
