Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

September Is Here!

September, for me, is an exciting month. During the very first week, I am blessed to celebrate surviving one more year, this one is 65 and still alive! Closing  the Summer with Labor Day festivals and concerts is a great way to welcome Fall. Then, of course, is the start of Denver Broncos football season! It was a Great way to get rolling with the game on Sunday!

Most importantly, it is a special time to celebrate relationships in Christian fellowship. Over the past twenty years, a very integral part of my faith walk, has been Bible Study Fellowship. It is an international,  in depth, chapter by chapter, study of the Bible. This year, September through May, we will be studying the book of Matthew. Let me know if you would like more information. This year is particularly special as we haven’t met in person since March of 2020.

Christian fellowship is such an important way of strengthening our relationship with God as we know and experience Him in relationships with others. Hebrews 10:23-25 tells us, “without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near.”

There is a lot packed into these three verses. God keeps His promises, and we should never be in doubt which is helped by reminding each other.  We must be in Christian fellowship to encourage, guide and support one another in our faith. The pandemic has surely shown me that meeting with my fellow friends in Christ is so very vital to my journey with the Lord. We can’t predict the return of Jesus, as it is in God’s timing, and we need to be ready!

Whether gathering together at a church service or Bible study, a Bronco barbecue, or having drinks on the deck…we are so blessed to rejoice and celebrate our shared faith in Christ.
Have a Blessed day, a gift from God!
