Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

If you ever get to the top of Red Rocks amphitheater, you can’t help to notice the numerous rows of seats and the wonderful and incredible red rock structures that surround the seats. It is probably the best place to see a concert. It is amazing how they built such a beautiful place. It is not only powerful but it is majestic. If you ever watch the Macy’s fireworks live or on TV, the colors and formations of the fireworks is breathtaking. To see the sky full of light explosions gives you a sense of how wonderful this country is. Not only does it give you a sense of patriotism, it is majestic. There is another being that is majestic and that is God.

God’s love is undisputed, unstoppable, unrelenting, indivisible, incredible, and unlimited. God is more majestic and beautiful than anything in this universe. People live in fear right now because of all the things happening. This unseen enemy coronavirus has everybody up in arms. Because of mask and social distancing which is necessary, it seems like we need to isolate ourselves from all humans and that doesn’t seem to be right. Police brutality is separating ourselves from the police in fear that they will cause great harm to us but yet, they are supposed to be here to protect us. It is a total mess in my opinion. Racial inequality has existed for years but it seems to have exploded right now. Non-violent protesting is fine but looting is not. Racial discrimination among everybody seems to be the new normal but that totally goes against who we are. We are the United States of America not the Separated States of America. I think we better get our act together and it all starts with prayer.

Not many people talk about it but what we need now is heavy doses of prayer for God’s love and power. We are all human. God’s love and power will affect all humans just like the coronavirus does. It will break down the walls like how it broke down the walls of Jericho with respect to racial inequality and discrimination. It will perform miracles and save people like it did for Moses parting the Red Sea. Prayer will bring people together. Even though social distancing is needed, love and care for your family, your friends, your brothers and sisters in Christ, and your fellow human beings reaches no bounds. Just pray for them.

2 Chronicles 7:14, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Pray and love God with all your heart and you will see many blessing bestowed upon our great nation because Love conquers all.

In Christ,

Stan Yee
