Happy 4th of July (tomorrow), God’s Grace!
It’s a holiday and a day off, so let’s take time and live in the moment. What does living in the moment mean to you? Is it more simple, relaxed, loud, energetic, thoughtful, appreciative? Is it a moment for God and prayer?
Jason Mraz has a song, Living In the Moment, and his lyrics sound like a lot like “God Moments” to me: “With peace in my mind. With peace in my heart. Peace in my soul. I will not waste my days. Why do we lay all these traps? We put them right in our path.”
Dear Father in Heaven, We remember today how blessed we are. We remember with gratitude all who sacrificed and gave their lives so we can have the freedoms we enjoy today – like being able to worship You freely. We pray for our country, leaders, revival, repentance, renewal, healing, and restoration. May the changes we seek start within us. May you guide us in humbleness, as our Lord Jesus showed us during His time on earth. Also, Lord-Father, help us to take a moment with You today – to feel You and nothing else – to be with You ‘in the moment’. Amen.
