Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

Let God Change the Way I Think

Romans 12:2 is my guiding life verse of the Bible. The whole 12th chapter of Romans is a pretty good handbook. Go here to read several translations. My favorite is from the Contemporary English Version which translates 12:2 as “Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think.”

When I think I’m right and everyone else is wrong.

Let God change the way I think.

When I think I’m the one who’s got it all figured out.

Let God change the way I think.

When I think I can do it all by myself.

Let God change the way I think.

When I look past others in need.

Let God change the way I think.

When I judge others.

Let God change the way I think.

When I think I’m not the problem.

Let God change the way I think.

When my pride raises up.

Let God change the way I think.

When I’m ready to quit because it all seems so hard.

Let God change the way I think.

May our prayer each day be to let God change the way we think so that we think like God does: with mercy, kindness and love.

See you tomorrow at 10:00 am MDT via the stream! It won’t be the same without you. We’ll have a visit from Daisy Wiberg, our partner at Sun Valley Kitchen + Community Center who seems to live from Romans 12.

Grace be with you,
