Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

It’s Difficult

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Danish philosopher Kierkegaard noted that, in his day, so many creative people were dedicating their lives to make other people’s lives easier through the invention of labor-saving devices and technology that relieved them of some of the burdens of work.

Kierkegaard, master of irony, said that he decided that he would dedicate his life to making other people’s Iives more difficult.

He decided to become a preacher of the Gospel.

For further reflection see Mark 10:46-52.

Prayers: That we might be willing to tackle the difficult challenges with love. For all who are suffering through the chaos in Haiti.
