Thank you so much for the $100 donation to replace our tools for the year! That was such a fun and creative idea. And I actually replaced what we needed last week when I got stuck at the DMV and Home Depot was next door and it cost $112, so that was perfect! Thanks again for being such good friends, partners, and supporters of ECM J

My name is Kelly Tobin and I am the Business Relations Manager at The Gathering Place. I hope you are staying warm and safe this week! I wanted to reach out and express our immense gratitude to God’s Grace Community Church. We are blown away by the generosity of your congregation and continued support you have shown. Your recent donation of $5000 is incredibly kind and helpful as we look forward into the next year. We had a huge increase in demand for our services in 2020 and expect that to continue into 2021 as eviction moratoriums lift, stimulus money runs out, and some jobs are lost permanently. The people we serve will feel these effects well past this year.
To give you a small overview of the work we are doing, I wanted to highlight a couple programs of ours. One of the largest programs at The Gathering Place (TGP), Betsy’s Cupboard (food pantry), saw huge growth in 2020. TGP allocated more money in FY21 than ever before to keep up with increased demand as other pantries in Denver closed. Food pantry visits increased by 55%, and TGP also distributed 63% more pounds of food over the same period in 2019.
At our auxiliary shelter, which houses about 100 people, we were able to house 13 individuals and 13 more are in process for housing. Three guests have been connected with mental health services, 16 people were assisted with getting important documents like ID’s and birth certificates, and many folks have found employment near the shelter. Between the two locations, we have helped more people secure stable housing this past year than ever before, with no signs of slowing down!
We are able to do this work because of partners like you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Thank you so much for the donation of $1,025.00 to Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives for our Thanksgiving outreach in addition to the Walmart gifts cards of $2,500.00. We greatly appreciate your generosity. We work with over 100 kids during the school year, impacting over 100 families. In addition, we work with over 150 ex-gang members who are on parole, helping them bridge the gap between release and reality.

Dear Members of God’s Grace Community Church,
Thank you so much for your continued impactful support of our community. We are so grateful for your donations of linens, as well as feminine hygiene items. We are also incredibly thankful for your generous monetary donation that will go toward keeping our programs and services available to our members. We’ve missed having you all on site for bingo, and we are looking forward to the day that we can get that going again. Many thanks for your support and generosity over these past many years.

Hello Andrea and Sally [and God’s Grace],
Thank you so much for stopping by today and bringing some amazing donations. We’re so grateful for the hygiene items and sheets, as well as the monetary donation to help us continue to provide our programs and services to members. It was a pleasure to see you both!
I wanted to send you the link to this video that talks about the shelter at the Coliseum. It was a huge effort, and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of our community. Thank you for showing up for our members and us, even if it’s not in the normal ways.
I hope that you both have a wonderful, safe, and fun holiday weekend. Take care!
With gratitude and appreciation,
Cortney Mabry, Volunteer Program Manager, The Gathering Place

Everyone involved with GGCC,
I am sending this note to you to express our sincere thanks to everyone for the generous donation you sent the Town of Keystone to help with costs that are exploding as we deal with the aftermath of this challenging storm. We were hit with a ‘derecho’ – a term I had never heard of before, but it signifies a long line of intense, fast moving winds over a great distance. It has been determined that the winds in our town and county reached anywhere from 110 to 140 mph. This donation will be used appropriately to help people directly as we continue attempting to clean up our town, which will take months, and probably years.
Our town people have come together to get Keystone looking habitable again, just like your parish continues to come together to help others in need, when they need it the most. We were without electricity for 10 days, and the town people handled it admirably. We will use this money to help those in most need to make ends meet as they deal with Covid, and now having a challenging time trying to fix up their homes after this ravaging storm which took only 30 minutes to wreck such havoc.
Again, thanks so much for the help from your Ready to Bless Fund. We appreciate it greatly. This note is from me, but it represents the thanks from everyone in our small town.

Dear Pastor David Jensen,
Thank you for your scholarship grant designated for Zachary Herzog. Your support is an investment in their education today, as well as their future service.
Your generosity serves as a vote of confidence in Zachary, and they will continue to benefit from Iliff’s rigourous academic programs, have opportunities to train as a forward-thinker, work to build stronger communities, and act with integrity as a leader.
You are also making an exceptional difference in the lives of all who will be impacted by Zachary’s career.
Iliff has long served as a leader in theological education, training students with courageous theological imaginations to serve communities in authentic ways, and we will continue to respond to meet the emerging and diverse needs of our students. Thank you for helping Iliff educate students who will do outstanding work in the world.
