Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

Being the Church

Dear GGCC(God’s Grace Community Church) ER’s,

“What can an honest person do when everything crumbles?”  (Psalm 11:3)   The answer is clear- you proclaim the Christ is Risen! You share the gossip of Easter, that is what you do! When Ukraine gets bombed, and Russia seems hell bent to level evil, you proclaim hope through word and deed.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Martin Luther King Jr.

God’s Grace Community Church (GGCC) family, you have reached out over the last 18 years, from the sacred ground you stand on  , to Nicaragua and Haiti to share Christ love. In our better moments of faithfulness, we have chosen to not be silent, and your voice has echoed through the Kingdom of God.

“You will BE my church from Jerusalem (locally) to Judea (regionally) to Samaria (people you are not comfortable with) to the ends of the world.” Acts 1:6-8 (Unrevised Jensen Standard)

It has been nice that over our 18 years you have come to church. *But I am most grateful that you have chosen to BE the church from Rock Canyon High School to Denver (Open Door, Confluence, The Gathering Place, Extreme Community Makeover ) to regions such as Booneville, Mississippi and the Boys and Girls Club, to the ends of the world on a trash dump outside Managua, Nicaragua.

Prayer—we now have an invitation to be sent in mission. You can go to the GGCC website to get information on how to continue supporting one or more of these great causes. You can also scatter the word about them in new faith communities.

Prayer—for Pastor Gabe Jolly of Hopewell Baptist in Mississippi, who will deliver the final sermon at GGCC this Sunday. We hope to see all of you there for the service and sending rituals.

Prayer – for all who mourn the Columbine shootings on this the 23rd anniversary.

Still in one peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen
