Jesus' Mercy Changes Me, We and the World

Again and Again

John 3:1-2

John 3:3 “In reply, Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of GOD unless he is born again.”

Have you ever been asked “Have you been born again?”

It is an interesting question to me. I used to be uncomfortable when I was asked this, but after reading this several times I have a question for you…

When Jesus says this to Nicodemus and as you read it, does Jesus mean you have to be born again once or is it possible Jesus is saying:

  1. We need to ‘be born again’ every time we get set in our ways.
  2. We need to ‘be born again’ when we have made GOD in our own image.
  3. We need to ‘be born again’ when we have put our priorities over GOD’s priorities.
  4. We need to ‘be born again’ when we are comparing ourselves to others and see them lacking.

I do at times get glimpses of “the kingdom of GOD” and it is at times like these that I smile and say to myself, I have been born again.

May you know deep in your heart, in every cell of your body, that you are a gift to GOD and that GOD loves you exactly like you are and may you look for ways to “be born again!”

Know you are loved!
